my 3½ y/o loves it so far

this is an awesome idea for teaching kids to read music. sound quality is good enough for a beginning song book. not sure why one reviewer wants it to play songs automatically for you as a kid will figure that out quick and it will be that much harder to get them to read&play the notes themselves. my 3½yo has really taken to it and had no trouble figuring out the sharps and flats. if i was nit picking it might be nice to have a volume control (the default volume could be a tad quieter but it's not bad). also could've added one more key and have a full two octaves.

As good as a piano

I bought this "piano" book for a 1-yr old and she LOVES it!!! It was one of her favorite presents. She plays on it all the time. I was worried she was a little young for it, but no. Obviously she can't follow the instructions to play a "real" song but she's happy without that. It has pretty good sound, actually.

My 19 month old granddaughter loves this! She loves Elmo, but really enjoys playing music so it was a big hit.
